Gibbonsia metzi, known commonly as the Striped kelpfish in Canada and the United States,[1] is a species of clinid in the genus Gibbonsia.[2] It is a subtropical blenny found found from British Columbia, Canada, to Baja California, Mexico, in the eastern Pacific Ocean.[2] It was named by C.L. Hubbs in 1927,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 24 centimetres.[2] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of worms,[4] and are commercial aquarium fish.[2]
